Many years ago, I decided I would like to try doing some blogging. I looked at some of the free services and then, I discovered that I could download and operate my own blog server called Wordpress. My Mac already had PHP, MySQL and an Apache web server, so, off I went. Well, I got overly involved, diverted even, into the technology of the back end. I was also testing other content management systems, Gallery 2 photo gallery system and the learning management system, Moodle. So much for my blog. Today, I don't waste my time tinkering with the back end of my own server. I focus on what I set out to do—write. I write everyday in MacJournal and take some of what I write into article I post on my blogs. My blogs have now fed a book which is something I never thought I would get to. The secret is to write for one hour per day and then do some editing. Next, I will be getting back to my photography.
